This is a gluten-free flour blend designed to be used in place of light, whole wheat flour. It weighs the same as bread flour so can be used cup for cup. It utilizes our amazing wholegrain blend of ancient grains but has a higher percentage of rice flours than our other products giving it a lighter color and flavor.
This flour is 60% wholegrain. It has a floral, slightly nutty flavor, similar to white flour but you can smile knowing that you are enjoying a wholegrain product. Score!
Our products are all designed to lend themselves to vegan baking. We found that most gluten-free flours on the market were a total flop when used in vegan recipes. Our goal was to make lovely, wholegrain products with awesome texture and flavor that stays moist even without egg!
This flour is ready to go for bread making. For use in a bread machine, we recommend adding an additional 1/2 tsp of xanthan gum per pound of flour.
The package contains a great sandwich loaf bread recipe on the back of the package.
