GF | V | 64 oz - This is a light gluten-free flour blend designed to be used in place of white flour. It weighs the same as white wheat flour so can be used cup for cup. It utilizes our amazing wholegrain blend of ancient grains but has a higher percentage of brown, white, and sweet rice flours than our other products, giving it a lighter color and flavor.
This all-purpose flour is 60% wholegrain. It has a light flavor, similar to white flour but you can smile knowing that you are enjoying a wholegrain product. Score!
Snacktivist Foods' products are all designed to lend themselves to vegan baking. We found that most gluten-free flours on the market were a total flop when used in vegan recipes. Our goal was to make lovely wholegrain products with awesome texture and flavor that stays moist even without egg! However, this wonderful flour blend works great when you use eggs or dairy as well!
Use cup for cup substitute with regular flour. Make crackers, cinnamon rolls, muffins, boule, waffles, pancakes, coffee cakes, and pizza crust! This flour is ready to go for bread making. (For use in a bread machine, we recommend adding an additional 1/2 tsp of xanthan gum per pound of flour). For kneaded bread, we recommend adding a 1/2 tsp of xanthan gum per pound of flour and letting it set up in the fridge overnight.
**The package contains a great no-knead sandwich loaf bread recipe on the back.** Use this recipe for bread or for making a fantastic pizza crust, pre-bake it in the oven, or on the grill! Top and bake and serve!
